The course is designed primarily for individuals who are currently employed or show the potential for employment, at senior policy-making levels in the fields of human resource management, employment/industrial relations, diversity and inclusion and change management. The core subjects provide foundational HRM knowledge as well as enhancing students' academic literacy skills and knowledge of the business practice. The additional elective subject choices provide an opportunity to specialise more deeply in the human resource management discipline and to further enhance students' skills, professional practice, specialist knowledge and capabilities.
The course aims to provide leading-edge conceptual and practical understandings of human resource management in complex and unfamiliar workplace situations in order to facilitate management decision-making and ensure business literacy and career guidance.
Career options include positions in change management and general management, human resources, organisational training and development, employment/industrial relations and in diversity and inclusion.
